Full Member - €100.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Qualifications for Full Membership:

(1) Full membership with all rights and obligations is available to mental health professionals who have graduate (normally at Doctoral or Masters’ level) academic and professional training, in a mental health field (including, but not necessarily limited to, psychology, psychiatry and social work), that includes significant training in the practice of psychotherapy, and who are, thereby, entitled to conduct psychotherapy autonomously and are licensed, when required, by state/provincial/regional authorities in the country in which they reside and work. Regulations approved by the Executive Board from time to time determine details of the specific courses of professional training and licensing in different countries.

(2). Full members must also be already certified as schema therapists by the ISST, or must have engaged with ISST-approved training in schema therapy by attending at least 12 hours of an ISST-approved training program leading to certification.

Items you will need to upload for your application to be processed:

2. Proof of at least 12 hours of schema therapy training from an ISST-approved training program

Full Member Reduced Rate Countries - €50.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Exclusively for members who reside in the following countries:

Albania, Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Republic of Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, Venezuela, Vietnam and Yugoslavia.

Qualifications for Full Membership: You are a helping or health care professional recognized as a psychotherapist in your country based upon graduate-level academic training in programs such as psychiatry, psychology, or social work. You are allowed to conduct psychotherapy autonomously or under supervision and you are licensed (when this is required) by your state and national authorities.

Additionally, full members must meet one of the following qualifications:

(1) Full membership with all rights and obligations is available to mental health professionals who have graduate (normally at Doctoral or Masters’ level) academic and professional training, in a mental health field (including, but not necessarily limited to, psychology, psychiatry and social work), that includes significant training in the practice of psychotherapy, and who are, thereby, entitled to conduct psychotherapy autonomously and are licensed, when required, by state/provincial/regional authorities in the country in which they reside and work. Regulations approved by the Executive Board from time to time determine details of the specific courses of professional training and licensing in different countries.

(2). Full members must also be already certified as schema therapists by the ISST, or must have engaged with ISST-approved training in schema therapy by attending at least 12 hours of an ISST-approved training program leading to certification.

Dual Full Member - €50.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) If you are a member of an authorized organization, such as the Dutch Society, you may apply for Dual Full Membership. In your application, you must upload a copy of proof of your active membership, and must send proof of continuing membership in the authorized organization upon renewal to continue as a Dual Full Member.

Qualifications for Dual Full Membership:

(1) Dual Full membership with all rights and obligations is available to mental health professionals who have graduate (normally at Doctoral or Masters’ level) academic and professional training, in a mental health field (including, but not necessarily limited to, psychology, psychiatry and social work), that includes significant training in the practice of psychotherapy, and who are, thereby, entitled to conduct psychotherapy autonomously and are licensed, when required, by state/provincial/regional authorities in the country in which they reside and work. Regulations approved by the Executive Board from time to time determine details of the specific courses of professional training and licensing in different countries.

(2). Dual Full members must also be already certified as schema therapists by the ISST, or must have engaged with ISST-approved training in schema therapy by attending at least 12 hours of an ISST-approved training program leading to certification.

(3). Dual Full members must maintain an active membership in the approved organization, such as the Dutch Society, and must provide proof of active membership upon annual renewal.

Items you will need to upload for your application to be processed:

1. Copy of current license applicable to your residency
2. Proof of at least 12 hours of schema therapy training from an ISST-approved training program
3. Proof of active membership in an approved organization (e.g., Dutch Society).

Dual Full Member Reduced Rate Countries - €25.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Dual Full Members qualify if they are members of an authorized schema therapy organization, such as the Brazilian Schema Society. Proof of active membership in the appropriate organization must be uploaded in the application.

Reduced Rate Countries are exclusively for members who reside in the following countries:

Associate Member - €50.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) You may become an ASSOCIATE MEMBER if you meet one of the following criteria:

(1). Associate members do not meet criteria for full membership but are licensed or entitled to provide psychological interventions under supervision or in structured health settings. This includes those who are enrolled in training at Masters’ or Doctoral level in mental health professional training courses such as those referred to in the criteria for Full Membership, which, once successfully completed, will lead to their being licensed to practice psychotherapy and to meet criteria for Full Membership.

(2). Regulations approved by the Executive Board from time to time determine details of the qualifications required or conditions that must be met within particular countries or regions for this level of membership to be granted.

Supporting Member - €50.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) You qualify to become a Supporting Member if you are interested in participating in, and contributing to, schema therapy and the ISST. You are not required to meet the criteria listed for Full or Associate Members.
The rights and obligations of Associate Members and Supporting Members are different from those granted to Full Members. There are separate membership regulations for each category of membership. Applicants are informed of these rights, obligations and regulations prior to admission.
