The ISST Executive Board has approved a separate certification in Schema Therapy Treatment Units (STTU) upon the recommendations of a work group of experts in this area. 

„Treatment Unit“ is a multi-professional psychotherapeutic/psychiatric treatment unit (settings can be in-patient, daytime-clinic, out-patient treatment centres) regularly also conducting group psychotherapy.

Applications must be submitted in English.

The same academic and licensing requirements of the ISST for Individual ST certification/Children and Adolescent ST certification (depending on the treatment unit patient specialization) and for Auxiliary ST certification apply to the certified members within the treatment unit. Applicants for the ST Treatment Unit Certification can contact us  to receive the preliminary application form (still under review).

A workgroup will shortly be formed for continued evaluation of certification requirements and application forms.
