Part 1:  Schema Therapy For Couples/Relationships

Dates: 2nd, 3rd & 10th July 2026


Location: 3 Mornings Online

Time: 8am to 12 Noon


Over these 3 mornings, we will cover the following:

Understanding the Model:

Introduction of the Clash Card

Stopping Mode Clashes

Rebalancing after timeout

A Roadmap to Emotional Reconnection:

Introducing Conjoint Imagery

Training the Healthy Adult Mode

Connection Dialogues

Homework Assignments


Who can attend: All clinicians working with Relationships. This is a stand-alone workshop but also contributes 12 hours towards Schema Certification for Couples.

Part 2: Working with Complex Couples

16th & 17th July 2026

*You need to attend Part 1 for Couples prior to attending Part 2.


Location: A 2 Day In Person Workshop (West Bute House, Cardiff Bay CF105LH)
Time: 9am – 3.30pm

Learn to work with more complex couples:
Accessing the Vulnerable Side: Stopping and putting the modes on the chairs. (Separating Needs from Wants)
Creating contemplation and motivation to try a new strategy on the meta-cognitive level by comparing desired and actual outcome
Empathy exercise (sitting on the partner's chair) to induce contemplation and readiness for change on an emotional level
Connecting with the Vulnerable Child based on imagery and talking from the VC. Asking the partner for their reverberations listening to the VC
Accessing the Assertive Side : Empowerment Exercise
Roadmap to Physical Reconnection:
Sexuality & Schema Therapy
Dealing with Intrusive Voices
